Things To Do Around the Hotel

Address & Location| Getting to the Hotel| Public Transportation

There are endless things to see and do in Phuket from exploring the fascinating underwater world that encompasses the island through to discovering natural waterfalls, relaxing on pure white sandy beaches and soaking up the rich culture that can be sampled on a visit to one of the many beautiful temples.

During the day, the beaches are often the main focus of attention with visitors enjoying everything from relaxing and swimming to catching a frisbee or riding a jet ski. If being a beach bum isn’t for you, you can hire a jeep or a taxi for the day and explore the island yourself. Eco-tours are popular and these can include elephant trekking, canoeing, diving and snorkelling and there are plenty of boat rides available to the untouched Phang Nga region or the famous Phi Phi Island.

Here are some of our recommendations of the top places of interest that are found within a 15-20 minute journey from our ideally situated Patong hotel:

Beaches

  • Patong Beach is the busiest beach on the island with deckchairs available for rent lined up and down its entire length. Watersports are continuously enjoyed from this bustling beach where holidaymakers gather to soak up the sun and bathe in designated swimming areas.

  • Karon Beach is far quieter and often enjoys a cooling wind that blows from the water’s edge that laps the pure white sand with small waves.

  • Kata Beach is another great beach to visit and the water is prone to staying shallow allowing children and families to enjoy playing in the water here.

  • Kalim Beach is a continuation of Patong Beach that can be found around the rocky peninsula at the northern tip of the beach. Avid beachcombers can enjoy hunting for holiday souvenirs along this sandy beach.

  • Freedom Beach is located on a 10-minute boat journey at the opposite end of Patong Beach and this is one of the most stunning and isolated beaches on the entire island. The hustle and bustle of Patong, Karon and Kata are forgotten about due to the dazzling white sand matched only in its beauty by the azure blue sea.

Jungceylon Shopping Mall

If you want to do some shopping in a plush centre without the hassle of bartering a good price, Jungceylon Shopping Mall is perfect! All types of shops are located within this modern mall as well as a cinema, countless eateries and a bowling alley and our Phuket hotel is located just a 5-10 minute drive away.

Bangla Road

Bangla Road is located in the heart of Patong just back from Pating Beach and is a fun mixture of everything that is tacky, funny, exciting, weird, bizarre, strange and amusing! The street is lined with extravagant cabaret entertainers, endless bars selling cheap drinks, unusual street food, bright lights and loud music blasting from every bar with various shows found on the back streets that aren’t for the faint hearted.

Simon Cabaret

Known as a Phuket institution, the super-extravagant Simon Cabaret is arguably the best cabaret show on the island. Found on the outskirts of Patong just a short journey from the Citin Plaza hotel, Simon Cabaret is a must-see experience for anyone looking for an enjoyable night out with great dancers and a fun atmosphere.

Dino Park Mini Golf

Found on the edge of Karon leading into Kata, this mini golf is perfect for families and couples to enjoy and it is more than your average mini golf course! A man-made volcano spectacularly erupts on the hour, every hour and eerie dinosaur noises can be heard throughout the course that is impressively decorated with modern pyrotechnics that will amaze both young and old.

Karon Temple

Wat Suwan Khiri Khet is prominent temple that is located just off Patak Road. Two giant snake statues guard the beautiful ubosot, which is the main hall of the temple and there are many Buddha statues, paintings and other images dotted around the stunning temple.

Phuket Fantasea

This theme park offers guests various shows including dancing elephants, entertainers and acrobats. Visitors can also enjoy eating at the restaurant found in the theme park grounds and shopping can be done in the Carnival Village.
